Marginalization in the Americas: Perspectives from the AmericasBarometer

On Friday, October 28, 2011, the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS), in conjunction with Latin American Public Opinion Project (LAPOP), will be hosting a conference entitled Marginalization in the Americas: Perspectives from the AmericasBarometer. 

This conference will focus on the main theme of the AmericasBarometer for 2012, “Marginalization in the Americas.” The AmericasBarometer, under the direction of LAPOP, was established in 2004 and conducts surveys of democratic values and behaviors in the Americas. The database has become a valuable source of primary data for the region and its influence continues to grow. 



This event is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. and run until 12:00 p.m.  It will be held in the Robert and Judi Prokop Newman Alumni Center, UM
