Egypt's Democracy & The Arab Spring

Announcing Egypt's Democracy and the Arab Spring, a featuring special guest, Egyptian Ambassador Sameh Shoukry.

His excellency Sameh Shoukry has been Egypt's Ambassador to the United States since 2008.  He previously served as Egypt's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, as well as Egypt's Ambassador to Austria and as Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna.  He specializes in disarmament and non-proliferation issues.  The event will open with a brief lecture by Ambassador Shoukry, followed by an interview led by Bradford McGuinn, senior lecturer in the Department of Political Science at the University of Miami, specializing in Middle Eastern studies.
