INS-CLAS Seminar Featuring Renowned Scholar Dr. Roberto Bouzas

Dear INS Graduate Students and Faculty:

I am writing you on behalf of the Center of Latin American Studies (CLAS) at the University of Miami.  CLAS will be co-sponsoring with INS a meeting with Dr. Roberto Bouzas, who is a renowned Argentine scholar.   In this informal meeting, Professor Bouzas will discuss his current research and different projects that are being developed at his university in Argentina.  This is an excellent opportunity, particularly for graduate students, to engage with a top Latin American scholar and learn about cutting-edge research in South America.

The meeting will be held at CLAS on Thursday, October 6th, 2011 from 6 to 7 p.m. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Here is a brief biography of Dr. Bouzas:
Dr. Roberto Bouzas received degrees in Economics from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and Cambridge University.  A prolific author, he has written extensively on regional integration, the Argentine economy and economic policy, and international trade. Currently, Dr. Bouzas is a professor at the Universidad de San Andrés and a Senior Research Fellow at the National Scientific and Technical Research Board (CONICET).  He has been a visiting professor at the University of Notre Dame, Stanford, Duke University, Pontificia Universidade Católica de Río de Janeiro, and Universidade Federal de Río de Janeiro.
Please RSVP to umclas@miami.edu by October 5th, 2011.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
